Welcome to The Bone Conduction Music Show playlist page for the year 1998. The playlist page is a feature that will grow over time (remember, the Universe is expanding at the speed of light, three times ten to the eight meters per second, I think, and that's really fast). All tunes are listed in order of actual play on the date given.
A little bit about our Playlist Presenter, the lovely and talented Ms. Betty Page:
Betty Page is an American Icon. She is the quintisential 1950's American Pin Up girl. Betty's body of work (no pun intended) defined state of the art American Pin Up Girl Technology (not to mention the foundation garmet softcore erotica genre). I was into Betty Page long before it became fashionable to be aware of her portfolio. I can remember my friends and I in the late 1950's through the early 1960's, young boys loitering at the local drugstore for hours, being shooed away from the magazine rack countless times ("This ain't no library, move it, punks!"), only to return as soon as the store owner dissappeared into his office. We had to see more of Betty and her work. She was in almost every 'Mens' magazine of the day and we just couldn't get enough of her white hot way cool photo action. Betty Page has a job on The Bone Conduction Music Show whether she wants one or not. Here's to you Betty. Go, girl! Let's do lunch real soon...
And now without further ado, here are the real life, actual laboratory condition, genuine imitation naugahyde covered playlists as presented by Betty Page, The Official Pin-Up Girl of The Bone Conduction Music Show, for the date of:

We did the Fall WEMU Fund Drive on October 18, 1998. That's right, a show devoted to begging and pandering. We have to, we are Public Radio. I don't keep playlists for these shows, the on-air duties are too demanding and there is little time to keep lists and write things down (besides, we're far too busy drinking beer and watching television). Once again, The Bone Conduction Music Show was The Mother of all Fundraisers on WEMU, totaling just under $11,000.00 for four-hours of begging. Not bad for a time slot usually reserved for 'community service' programming...MANY thanks to all that pledged support!
