Having just left a table full of BBQ ribs, chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, 1000 cold beers, Johnny Basset and The Blues Insurgents wailing from the stage across the lawn, a beautiful almost completely sunny day, a rolling manicured lawn at The Pine Creek Golf Club, and in short, the perfect American blues day, I was hard pressed to hurry away and get to the show on time. Being the professional that I am, I was up for the task. I not only made it to the studio but still had time for my lovely assistant Consuela to lick the BBQ sauce off of my fingers and also help me on with my rubber cape before I hit the airwaves.
