Once upon a time a listener sent a check to me. He asked me to buy WEMU and broadcast The Bone Conduction Music Show 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. I explained that if I could cash the check shown above and get access to the total $14,386,298.26 I would move to Jamaica just as fast as I could and buy a house right next door to Keith Richards' place. I went on to explain that if I was a "14 millionaire," the last thing in the world I would do would be to buy something as much of a pain in the ass as a radio station, unless, of course, it was a commercial Top-40 radio station that I could tear down and build a cool bar in its place.

By the way, I tried to cash this check. I am no fool.
